History[]

Orville has been settled by the early people of the Americas from between 1000 BC and 1400 AD. Between 1434 and 1898, Orville was known as Upper Columbia. After the discovery of Columbia in 1434 by James Livingston, the people mysteriously left and headed west. The remaining people were kept safe by the British Colony of Livingston (1445-1482). Once the British began setting up settlements such as New London and Georgisville, the colony became a particular immigration hotspot for both Europeans and Upper Asians. It wasn't until 1482 when Livingston was renamed Columbia after the founder of New London, Thomas W. Columbus.

In 1802, a massive uprising took place in Orville between the Union of Columbia Militia and the Rebels. The reason was to gain independence from Columbia. After a bloody war that lasted 21 years with over 2 million casualties, Orville was formally labeled as a proper state of Columbia (the rebels lost).

In the 19th century, Orville was the manufacturing center of Columbia and was a major exporter and distributor of goods. On May 1st, 1898, Dayton became the Capitol city of Orville.
